A simple 'game' designed to show how a game can be built. It's a 2D-style game written with Direct3D8 (DirectGraphics). It uses my dhEngine to take care of the startup/shutdown and other minor annoying details.
I needed a simple idea that wouldn't tax my (non-existant) artistic abilities, thus Doodle Invaders was born!
I tried to keep things very simple, so there are no fancy features in the 'game'. If there appears to be a lot of interest, I'll consider a version which will add more features to make it more of a useful game.
The Bullet Time sound effects are from Max Payne all of the rest were created by me.
|ESCAPE - Quit|
Left/Right Arrow keys - Move Left/Right
Spacebar - Fire
Enter - Enter Bullet Time (press again to leave)
When you clear a level, a new one appears and that continues until you get bored and quit.
